Wilson’s new family came to take him to his ‘forever home’ last weekend following his scheduled recheck by Dr. Harvey. That’s his damaged eye in the above photo, and as you can tell, it’s healed well and is almost as good as new. You can read about it in his previous blog posts on June 14, June 7 and May 26 (which has a link to a photo showing how bad it was when Harvest Home rescued him). Next up: getting neutered when he’s old enough.
His new family sends us regular updates about him, including this one from last night:
“Wilson’s new habitat arrived today and he moved from his cage, into his playpen. Of course, he has lots of free-running and exploring time… but he seems to like his new playpen too.
Wilson is very social and affectionate. He follows us around, loves to be pet, and allows us to hold and snuggle him for short periods of time. He is a very sweet bunny. He has adjusted to his new home and family very well… he has had no potty accidents in his cage, and only a couple accidents when free-running around the house (to be expected and if there is a litterbox nearby, he uses it). He is eating well.”
We’ll post new updates and photos as we get ‘em.
