Over the weekend, our rabbit special care area was upgraded. The basement of the main farmhouse where a handful of rabbits are nurtured is now complemented with a functioning washbasin. We no longer have to lug giant jugs of water downstairs for the bunnies.
Our new sink needs a buddy, though. Harvest Home seeks a special donation of a mini-refrigerator to store medicines and perishable supplies for our special-needs rabbits. Please consider making a very thoughtful contribution to our rescue and rehab efforts.

The beautiful lyricism of James Taylor’s music illustrated life at Harvest Home as the Thanksgiving holiday arrived. Yesterday, we were blessed with sunshine, chilly prevailing winds and one special bird: Arroyo the Turkey.
Arroyo fell off a slaughter big-rig in late October. He was destined for the Thanksgiving dinner-table. But, fate stepped in to change his doomed path. Over the last several weeks, the disabled turkey tom has settled to the quiet life on the ranch. Unfortunately, our turkey buddy has yet to stand and walk on his own. It’s our duty to pamper poultry. So, Arroyo has enjoyed the comforts of fleece and blankets. Ari dines on a mix of corn and soybeans. Arroyo has one message for the world to hear as Thanksgiving passes: Eat well, eat wisely.

Help out at the farm this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The weather in the Central Valley was been absolutely wonderful lately. We would love your help with chicken health checks, rabbit care and barn repairs this weekend. Plus, you will get the opportunity to meet Ari the Turkey Man. We will provide refreshments for all volunteers.
- Remember to wear old clothes and comfortable shoes.
- Please RSVP if you plan on attending the work party.

Join Harvest Home the first Saturday of each month for mobile adoptions at the Dublin SPCA.
Harvest Home is a haven for many rabbits. However, some of our residents are foster kids seeking loving homes in Northern California.
Say hello to Samie. He is a mid-size model with handsome red fur. This darling 4-year-old dude is neutered. Samie is a special-needs guy as he is blind. However, blind bunnies like Samie can get along very well in a home environment once they learn their new space and routine. Plus he’s not only very sweet, he’s very neat!
Meet the rest of the adorable gang online. If you are interested in a rabbit adoption, please contact us down on the ranch.
